Just when everybody started to make fun of the disappointing results by Silence - Lotto, the team started winning all of the important races left on the calendar. Cadel Evans became the new world champion and Philippe Gilbert won Paris - Tours as well as Lombardy.

Cadel Evans taking himself and his rainbow jersey to BMC must have felt like a slap in the face to the team management. Luckily the very talented Gilbert could very well dominate the spring classics. There is also Greg van Avermaet who should be able to continue his progression in spring. Leif Hoste seems to have lost some of the confidence that was his a few years ago.
