Quick Step Cycling team

Quick Step outshined in 2010 when they were least expected. For the first time in years the team stayed without a major victory in the classic races, but then there was success in the big stage races.

After two successful seasons, in which they won the double Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix, the spring of 2010 became a disappointment for Quick Step. Tom Boonen was good, but not good enough to beat the great Fabian Cancellara. With several stage wins in the Giro, Tour and Vuelta, the Belgian team did however save the furniture, as they say in Flanders.

In 2011 Quick Step will miss Stijn Devolder and Carlos Barredo, who have left the team. Dutch Champion Niki Terpstra is the new attacking force and Wouter Weylandt will be replaced by no less than three new fast men: Gert Steegmans, Gerald Ciolek and Francesco Chicchi.
